  • A Busy Life

I was just thinking, xanga is almost dead--I must do something about my xanga.
This will be a short post about happenings in my life.

First of all, Dinah is marrying Kevin on January 1, 2009.  That is something we all look forward too.  Thank you Dinah, for doing all the WORK!

Then, not less important, Harry and Renee had a baby girl on Wednesday, November 26. Although Sarah Elizabeth arrived 6 weeks early she is healthy.  She weighed 4 lbs and 14 oz.

Rebekah, her big sister, is staying here for the time being.  She is learning new words every day, like "grub".  There are so many people at our house at all times, that she can hardly miss picking up some funny words.

Wendy, Wesley & Elizabeth are coming over for lunch tomorrow.  Wesley is doing well, off of all painkillers, and getting around on crutches.

These are the most important happenings at the Stam House.

Those Who Braved the Cool, Rainy Weather

Harry had invited us all to come over for a barbeque on August 4 at 6 p.m.  All day we watched the rain, will it stop, or will it not??  Well it didn't, and we went ahead and went over for the barbeque.  He had organized it carefully, with two tents, lots of food, and we were all able to enjoy some  measure of dryness while eating and having time to visit with all those who did brave the weather.  Thank you Harry and Renee. The food was excellent, and we all had a great time.

Among those who braved it for part of the time were Baby Elizabeth, Wesley, and Irene and Richard.  Then there were those who didn't go out at all (I didn't blame them!!), Renee, Nathalie, and Rosemary, it was a rather soupy rain!!!

  • New Granddaughter

Just to let you all know, Wendy and Wesley had a baby girl yesterday:  Elizabeth Anne.  She was born at 12:57 p.m.  I had arrived at 12:55 and stood waiting at the nurses' desk when I heard a baby cry.  I thought, "That sounds like a baby girl."  Sure enough, Wesley came looking for me and I could see baby and Wendy for a few seconds.   All is well with Wendy and Elizabeth.  Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.
